| WRN was initiated by people who live in wildfire prone communities in California whose |
| homes are continuously at risk every fire season, and have come close to losing their homes. |
| What we do: |
| * Publicize the results of local, state and national research |
| * Attend local, state, and national conferences, symposia and trade shows |
| * Maintain a network of contacts with wildfire research experts at academic institutions, local, state, |
| and national government agencies and the media |
| * Focus government attention on wildfire issues and alert the media to obtain increased financial and |
| legislative support for solutions |
